Christmas Crafts

The ladies of Freeland WI had an enjoyable social night at their meeting on Monday 14th November making christmas decorations and cards. Three of our own members showed us how to make different, quite complex and beautifully decorated hearts, stars and cards and we took a turn at making each. It was fun and rewarding to go home with a beautiful hand made artefact. We also had a short discussion around what might be in our monthly programme next year which, so far, includes some excellent speakers and interesting outings as well as a cooking demonstration, trying our hand at cake decorations, flower arranging and an introduction to Tai Chi. In October we will have a Halloween party with spooky tales from a local story teller. Two of our members have started a walking group within the WI and plans are underway to run the Eater Market again on Sunday 2nd April 2017.
