Cooking up a summer treat

The hall was abuzz for our meeting on Monday 13th July for the much anticipated return visit of Amanda Belz. Amanda's demonstration of Festive Cookery last year was such a great success that we immediately invited her back to do a summer session for us and we were not disappointed it was another great evening. Amanda demonstrated how to present focaccia bread she made corn bread, different summer salads, sweet and savoury tarts, chicken main course and even a quick ice cream. Amanda and her daughter brought in to help out were a great double act keeping us amused with their banter as they prepared dishes in rapid succession. To top off this entertaining evening we sampled the different foods including an ice cream made earlier in the day – no calories in ice cream are there? Amanda is a trainer at Oxford Brookes University and Heads up The Cookery School we are very fortunate that she lives in Freeland and is willing to do these demonstrations for us,
