Flowery evening with the WI

The May meeting of Freeland WI found us gathered within the stunning walled gardens of the Freeland Nurseries drinking Pimms and filling hanging baskets. Luckily it was a warm, sunny evening and so we could sit outside besides the pergola and watch the expert within our group , Sue Hooper , give an excellent demonstration of how to pack a basket with a mass of plants. Our own good results proved what a great teacher she is. We have to give a big thank you to Tim Webster who kindly made the greenhouse and nurseries available to us for our May meeting. June's meeting on Monday June 8th , will be back in the village hall and is a meeting of two halves. For a bit of fun we thought we'd play bingo for an hour or so whilst enjoying some appropriate refreshments . After the bingo we are having a programme planning session. It is time to start thinking about our program of monthly meetings for 2016 and this will be an opportunity to pool our ideas.
