The August meeting of the Freeland WI saw twenty three of us descend on Woodstock. Armed with a 'Historic Trail Map' (http://www.woodstock-tc.gov.uk/Woodstock%20plaque%20walk%20DL%202012%20web.pdf) and a quiz, we were dispatched in groups of 3 and 4 to discover 'Historic Woodstock' and complete the tasks set for us by Lorraine. The final task was to find the Woodstock Arms where we were to convene for a drink and a natter! In that task all twenty three of us succeeded! What a great way explore hidden parts of Woodstock and learn about the history of this interesting town. A beautiful sunset was thrown into the mix to make this a memorable first outing for the newly formed Freeland WI.
