The May meeting of Freeland WI found us gathered within the stunning walled gardens of the Freeland Nurseries drinking Pimms and filling hanging baskets. Luckily it was a warm, sunny evening and so we could sit outside besides the pergola and watch the expert within our group , Sue Hooper , give an excellent demonstration of how to pack a basket with a mass of plants. Our own good results proved what a great teacher she is. We have to give a big thank you to Tim Webster who kindly made the greenhouse and nurseries available to us for our May meeting.
June's meeting on Monday June 8th , will be back in the village hall and is a meeting of two halves. For a bit of fun we thought we'd play bingo for an hour or so whilst enjoying some appropriate refreshments . After the bingo we are having a programme planning session. It is time to start thinking about our program of monthly meetings for 2016 and this will be an opportunity to pool our ideas.
